2023 Christmas Season
Christmas 2023
Two paintings below for this Christmas 2023 — one is Santa in his workshop at the North Pole. The second one is that ‘ole Christmas thief — yes, you know him — the Grinch!
Details follow below the paintings. Enjoy!
About the Annual Christmas Painting for 2023
It has been a few years since I painted a Christmas painting. This year, I decided it was time. So, on Oct 15, 2023, I began this year’s official Annual Christmas Painting. Hopefully, I can continue to do so each year. And with this painting, I left an ‘opening’ to be able to continue. Therefore, the above painting is really incomplete. The ‘model’ I used was Thomas Kinkade’s “Santa’s Workshop”. I didn’t want to mimic, but to achieve the same look and feel — so, I took a shot at it. I’m pretty happy as to how it turned out.
I had planned on Santa’s workshop to be much busier. However, this painting took me 91 hours to get it to this point. Quite frankly, I was painted out. So, I made the decision to stop where I was at and continue next year. There are more toys, elves, and even another floor with a lot going on. I will add this next year. That makes this painting a depiction of Santa’s workshop there in the North Pole as a ‘work in progress’. Notice, the elf beginning to decorate the tree and the elves at the workbench are just getting started. Santa is checking his ‘list’, but has only checked it once so far.
The track with bubbles filled with toys — that’s from a long time ago. Well, this is what a factory line in the North Pole would probably look like with metal tracks running across ceilings from floor to floor. There is even another floor that I want to paint as a possible continuation to this scene. So, I finished this painting (for now) on November 26, 2023. Each detail put in by me (NOT A.I.!). It is how I imagine Santa’s multi-story workshop is being set up at about right now!
In case you wondered — I do believe in Santa Clause — don’t you?!
Enjoy and Merry Christmas. Hug and love one another NOW, without delay.

’Tmagik’
P.S. Yes, secret signature IS there and I made it easy. So, Merry Christmas.
Note: Post-publish, I realized I had forgot to tell you my elves special power in this painting. As you will notice, whenever they walk or run, little snowflakes fall from their steps. Don’t you wish you could do that?
Silent Night
Very rarely do I video myself playing the piano. This is an exception, as I wanted to share some Christmas spirit through the song, “Silent Night” (one of my favorites). Enjoy and Merry Christmas!
